Life-saving drinking water delivered by truck
The Horn of Africa is experiencing the worst drought in decades. In four rainy seasons, there has been too little rainfall, and people and livestrock have run out of water. In the Togdheer region of Somaliland, Welthungerhilfe is using tank trucks to bring drinking water to particularly affected villages. This will secure the potable water supply for 5,000 people in eight villages for one month. In addition, a dam is being repaired as part of a cash for work activity.
