Clean Water - Accessible through Boreholes
In the centre of Ethiopia the people live from agriculture and livestock farming. The food situation is reasonably stable. However, the infant mortality rate is exceptionally high due to diseases such as diarrhoea and cholera. This project provides a large number of people with better access to clean water and hygiene measures, as studies have shown a good basis for drilling groundwater in the relatively high project region. The hygiene measures also help to ensure that the newly extracted precious water is used sustainably and profitably.
