More Harvests Thanks to Sustainable Agriculture
This project supports small farmers in the Maroodi-Jeex and Gabiley regions of drought-stricken Somaliland. In Farmer Field Schools they learn how to grow food sustainably under the difficult local conditions. Harvests are improved through the cultivation of various crops (diversification) and clever water collection techniques. Welthungerhilfe also provides seeds and tools. Thanks to the project, a total of 7,500 people will be able to eat better.
