Emergency Aid for People and Animals

In order to mitigate some of the worst effects of climate change, this project in the western tip of Somaliland undertakes a variety of actions such as supplying impoverished livestock keepers with food and drinking water. In addition to posing a threat to human life, droughts have cost people much of their livestock. Water and food supplied through this project are also intended for animals so that their owners benefit from their continued survival. Systems are also being established to ensure people are better prepared for disasters and able to withstand them when they occur.
