Pastoralists Defy Extreme Weather
Many people in the Gedo region of Somalia are living in poverty. Welthungerhilfe is working there to improve the level of food and nutrition security in the catchment areas of the rivers Dawa and Shebelle. More than 2,000 pastoralists and farmers are learning about improved farming methods as well as about how to market their produce. This means they can supply more food and become more resilient when faced with extreme weather events.
