Adapting Life to Climate Change

Extreme climate and repeated droughts threaten the livelihoods of many people in Somaliland. With this project, Welthungerhilfe aims to improve the nutrition, sanitation and water supply for pastoralists and farmers. Farmers learn how to make their harvest more diverse and thus safer by using adapted cultivation methods. Such diversification also opens up new sales opportunities. In addition, irrigation systems are being built and pasture land is being made usable again.
